Indigo Vat Fun Time: I tested my Indigo Vat prior to taking it out for a teaching opportunity. I upcycled previously dyed fabrics that I wouldn’t be using for any future projects.
The results: 1. the indigo vat was ‘live’ and functioning well 2. I have a new pile of lovely fabrics that I’m happy to use for future projects 3. ready to teach indigo shibori to 40 grade 5 & 6 students
The scrap fabrics were previously dyed with indigo, madder, osage, onion, and eco prints (among others). I knew that as they were these fabric pieces were not going to cut it for any future projects if I didn’t overdye them. I was more than pleased with the end results!
